May 20, 2016

Bike to Work Day, Friday, May 20, 2016 begins with a ride led by Mayor Betsy Price at 7:45am. Riders will leave from the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and Lipscomb Street. The ride will end at the Intermodal Transportation Center, 1000 Jones St. View the route that Mayor Price will lead.

Fort Worth Bike Sharing will offer half-off 24-hour memberships for those who don’t have a bike of their own. Use the promo code 052016 to redeem the discount. Remember to dock the bike every 30 minutes or usage fees will apply. If you’re ready to ditch the drive for a day, take the pledge to bike to work as part of an employer team or as an individual. Employers are encouraged to create routes for their employees and have a ride leader. If you are interested in starting a ride for your company, contact Bike Friendly Fort Worth for help choosing the best route.

During the morning commute, volunteers from FitWorth, Blue Zones Project and Bike Friendly Fort Worth will provide energizer stations with refreshments and ride leaders at the Intermodal Transportation Center, the Magnolia and Lipscomb intersection and at UNT Health Science Center, 3500 Camp Bowie Blvd.
