New Tower Opens at Medical City Fort Worth

On December 17, Medical City Fort Worth held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for their new $65 million patient tower. The 90,000 square foot building, located at 800 9th Avenue, includes a rooftop helipad and is connected via skywalk to their older building across 9th Avenue.
In addition to an expanded emergency department, the new tower includes a 28-bed intensive care unit, pediatric-friendly ER rooms, two trauma rooms, larger and more modern ambulance bays, and room to grow. Currently three-stories, it was built on a foundation capable of supporting four additional floors.
