Three Grand Openings on South Main Street

Mar 27, 2018

Tuesday, March 20, was an exciting day on South Main Street as three businesses opened their doors.

Alchemy Pops owner Carolyn Phillips held a special Ribbon Cutting to announce her shop's opening at 411 S. Main. Alchemy Pops is a purveyor of artisan frozen pops handmade from farm-fresh local ingredients. Carolyn has been operating her business as a mobile/catering operation until now, so opening her first store front was a momentous day in her journey.

Deryk Poynor's The Greenhouse 817 is directly next door to Alchemy, also in the 411 S. Main building. Deryk's business is located in a warehouse building on Bryan Avenue south of Berry, so adding a retail storefront on South Main puts her in a more convenient location for her growing customer base. Her unique botanical designs incorporate unexpected flowers and greenery (think ferns and house plants, succulents, cacti, fresh vegetables, and moss) in modern containers.

Across the street, Everlasting Joy Jewelry opened a small storefront at the corner of the 440 S. Main building (also home to ad agency JO Design). Owner Kaylee Landon combines her passion for jewelry and making a difference in this world with a company that not only provides the latest trends and classics in jewelry, but also assists in ending slavery worldwide. A portion of every purchase goes directly to non-profit organizations.

Congratulations to these hard-working small business owners on joining the South Main Village community!
