Architecture reflects our time and culture as well as shapes it. It is our essential humanity that moves us to do good, creating places that facilitate activity and bring joy to the human spirit. HKS is creating places that enhance the human experience through innovation, creativity and vision. We design settings to live, learn, heal, work and play.
For 80 years, HKS has embraced a culture that is centered on innovation and customer focus. This started with our founder and namesake, Harwood Knox Smith, whose family values, work ethic and client service permeate our culture today. Presently, we are a top-three architectural firm operating from 23 worldwide offices. We have achieved national and international prominence by providing a full range of architectural services for projects with a wide range of size and complexity.
Increasing our presence in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, HKS opened the downtown Fort Worth office in 2007. In the past three decades, architectural services have been provided for prominent area clients including Texas Health Resources, Baylor All Saints, Texas Christian University, RadioShack, Uplift Education, DFW International Airport and Bass Performance Hall.
Today, the firm continues to have a presence in the Fort Worth area with more than $800 million in work underway. Projects include Fort Worth Multipurpose Arena, Texas Christian University Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena Redevelopment and several projects at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth and Baylor All Saints.
