Volunteer

Near Southside, Inc. is comprised of a small staff of only five employees so volunteers are essential partners of the organization's many initiatives and accomplishments. From committee service to community event support, volunteer opportunities arise throughout the year and are an important way to stay connected to the organization and the district.

 

COMMITTEES & BOARDS

Service on our Development Committee, Design Review Committee, Marketing Committee, Executive Committee and the Board of Directors is available to Near Southside, Inc. members with a passion for guiding the daily practices of the organization. Committee members are appointed annually in January based on the availability. Term limits for allow for a regular rotation of new members to bring a diversity of perspective, professional skills and experience to the committees. Near Southside, Inc. COMMUNITY EVENTS

Near Southside, Inc. partners with local businesses, residents, musicians and artists to sponsor exciting community events that draw thousands to the district. Each year Near Southside, Inc. presents four signature events and assists in the production and planning of many others. These events each offer a unique perspective of the talent, passion and investment within the district. ArtsGoggle showcases the various talents of our creative community and the generosity of our business community. Friday on the Green puts a spotlight on the live music the district has long been known for complimented by handcrafted offerings from our food trucks and market vendors. Open Streets embraces the benefits of the Near Southside's walkable urban environment, our complete streets initiatives and the importance of health and wellness efforts throughout Fort Worth. Simply put, our small Near Southside, Inc. staff could not produce these events without the help of community volunteers. Your support is vital.
